As a newly certified teacher, I have found sites like Flocabulary, Edutopia, and Teacher Pay Teachers, along with Study.com to be very useful sites for organizing teachable content. As a substitute teacher, I utilized You Tube for videos that helped to reinforce subject content. Nothing can leave an impression more so than teaching the subject of erosion by showing a video clip of a house falling into the ocean as the ocean waves pound the dunes.

Technology has influenced the administration of grading and managing classroom assignments such as Google Classroom, PowerSchool, and Liveschool in which parents can gain a snapshot of student’s grades and patterns of behavior. GoGuardian is another management technology tool that teachers can use to monitor Chromebook usage and insure students are on task with assignments during classroom work.

In general, I use technology to read the various sports articles, enhance my coaching knowledge and skills, and keep track of the stats of my two favorite athletes, Madison and Mikey, my two kids!
